Survivors: two daughters; two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence and Melvin (wife, Jean) DeFrates, both of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation rites were accorded by Springfield Crematory.

Graveside services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Roselawn Memorial Park, the Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating.
